7 Cheapest Mini Splits to Consider (Lowest $399.88 Only)

Mini splits are great but they tend to be expensive. However, the competition has gone out of hand and the price of mini splits are coming down tremendously. Here are 10 cheapest mini splits on the market now:
Once a year or so, I will revisit all the mini splits on the market to see what’s their progress in terms of price, specifications and performance. During my recent visits, I was shocked about how low sellers are willing to go down on the price of their mini splits.
So, I thought why not make a list of the cheapest mini splits so that you have a better idea of what’s going on right now and perhaps, save you some money if you decided to buy one.
Note that this list is based on the price at the time of writing this post. So, the price may be differ from the time you’re reading this post.
1) SIMOE 9000 BTU 17 SEER2 230V
$399.88
9000 BTU, 17 SEER2, 230V, R32 refrigerant, no WiFi no mobile App control, self-cleaning mode, 8 ft power line, 13 ft refrigerant line set, 15 ft signal cable, 6.5 ft drain hose, 8-year compressor & parts warranty.
SIMOE mini splits are sold by SIMOE-US on Amazon. They don’t have an official website, only has an unmanaged YouTube channel. SIMOE doesn’t seem to have any branding on their unit. My guess is they’re probably from China. However, they pass down all the savings to the consumers. This SIMOE mini split heat pump unit is the cheapest mini split on the market now. On top of being the cheapest, the price also included the copper and drain pipe needed for the installation, plus an exceptionally long warranty period.
2) ROVSUN 11000 BTU 17 SEER2 115V

11000 BTU, 17 SEER2, 115V, R32 refrigerant, built-in WiFi and mobile App control, self-diagnose/cleaning, 16.4 ft refrigerant line set, 19 ft signal cable, 7 ft drain hose.
ROVSUN is a brand I’ve noticed quite a while. They sell all kinds of heating/cooling and kitchen appliances. Ever since they start selling online, their price is extremely competitive, undercutting almost all other mini splits. This ROVSUN mini split heat pump is no different. It’s basically the same price as the SIMOE but ROVSUN offer higher BTU, longer refrigerant line set and built-in WiFi for mobile App control.
3) ZOKOP 9000 BTU 19 SEER2 115V
$429.99

ZOKOP is a brand sold by Ktaxon, an e-commerce trading company established in 2018. Ktaxon sell all kinds of home products like furnitures, toys, sports equipment, musical instrument and other hardwares. The reason why I included this unit is the list is because the price included not just the line set but also the line set cover. That’ll save you money if you intended to cover up the refrigerant pipes. Plus, it’s slightly more energy efficient than the previous two.
4) ROVSUN 9000 BTU 19 SEER2 115V (Black)
$449.99

It seems like ROVSUN is going all out on price war. Usually, mini split indoor unit with color demands a premium price. However, in the case of this ROVSUN 9000 BTU unit, the price is just $20 more than the ZOKOP with almost everything else being the same and you get a unique black color indoor unit. I think it a bargain consider that indoor unit other than white color is quite rare, especially at this price point.
5) ROVSUN 16500 BTU 17 SEER2 230V

16500 BTU, 79 SEER2, 230V, R410A refrigerant, built-in WiFi and mobile App control, 16.4 ft refrigerant line set, 19 ft signal cable, 13.1 ft drain hose.
I can’t help but to put another ROVSUN unit on the list. This 16500 BTU unit is the one that has the lowest price per BTU. For just $100-150 more, you can get yourself an almost 1.5 tons air conditioner. If you have a big room to cool/heat, this unit is definitely the biggest bang for your buck. It has WiFi, mobile App control, the basic functions and come with the standard installation kit, no caveat or whatsoever.
6) ZOKOP 18000 BTU 19 SEER2 230V
$599.99

When it comes to big unit like 18000 BTU, ZOKOP by Ktaxon has the best offer. While ROVSUN, SIMOE and a few others are selling averagely at around $671, ZOKOP is offering at a dollar below $600, making it extremely attractive. It’s equipped with all the basic functions and the price comes with the standard installation kit except the liner cover is not included this time.
7) ZOKOP 24000 BTU 19 SEER2 230V
$899.99
24000 BTU, 19 SEER2, 230V, R410A refrigerant, built-in WiFi and mobile App control, 16.4 ft refrigerant line set, 19 ft signal cable, 13.1 ft drain hose, no liner cover.
Again, ZOKOP dominates the large-capacity range. To compare, other cheap mini splits are selling averagely at a little over $1000 with the highest one being $1130. Not to mention, premium brand like Daikin is selling at $1750 and that’s almost twice as expensive as this ZOKOP unit. For large capacity applications, this mini split is the best value for your money, a bargain of the century.
In summary, the cheapest mini splits are dominated by SIMOE, ROVSUN and ZOKOP. To be honest, their price is more or less the same. It really comes down to which one you prefer. For me, I think SIMOE has great warranty but ROVSUN has been receiving good comments. If you prefer to buy from Walmart, then ZOKOP is an option.
Other honourable mentions are Costway, RELAX4LIFE and TURBRO. They all have very competitive price but still a bit lacking behind those that I put on the list.
