Hello.
I purchased an AUX mini split unit for my sunroom and it was installed April 2024.
There is no safety locking cap for the refrigerant access port.
I contacted the company via the BBB California and they company did admit the safety cap was not included with the unit but should have been included. The company has not included a safety cap for my make and model.
I understand this to be a safety matter, by the inspector who reviewed the construction of the sunroom, to include the mini split.
Is it possible to have the refrigerant access port safety cap for model number ASWH12U3, serial number JIR1D1US-A delivered to me from you?
Thank you for your time and consideration of this request.
Hi,
Sorry I don’t sell AUX mini splits and other refrigeration parts. I’m an independent third party HVAC reviewers and information provider.
The refrigerant access port is used to release the refrigerant stored inside the compressor during initial start up. You may purchase a basic brass material cap on Amazon or any other hardware stores to cap the port. Using a safety locking cap will prevent others from tampering the port as you need a special tool to open up one of these safety locking caps. Safety locking caps can also be purchase from Amazon or any other hardware stores.
Thank you.
