Return duct sizes are primarily depending on the airflow of the HVAC unit which is corresponding to the tonnage or capacity of the HVAC unit. The larger the HVAC unit, the bigger the return duct. However, velocity is a critical factor as it affects the noise level. So, I made a return duct size chart as well as a guide on how to determine the right return duct size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
